The work involved coming up with themes for individual rooms, picking out (and creating) wall decorations and designing custom lamps. You can see a few of the different finished projects below. bathrooms The bathrooms were decorated with framed portraits of golden-era hollywood stars - kinda like classy pin-ups with a movie sub-theme. Single frosted coke bottles for the walls, and two coke bottle clusters for the dining table. A few of the invaders managed to escape, however, and at least one can be found in every single room of the office if you search long enough. Description: Concept renders of my project Lightweights. Instead of a pendant lamp hanging from the ceiling, sculptural weights are used to hold the lamp down - so to speak. A simple pendant lamp takes on a new life, as its influence on the room is expanded by making the lamp something bigger than the lampshade itself. The current 3D prototypes are a stylized anchor and a scale weight. Status: 3D models done, need to make prototypes. Description: Pinecone is a large pendant lamp comprised of 272 parts and measuring around 65cm in height and 40cm at its widest. The acrylic version is quite heavy, so I'm looking into alternative materials. The plywood version is very beautiful, but is more a sculptural light than a proper light source due to light not passing through the wood. Description: my masters project from The Danish Design School centered around couples and their use of sex toys. I wanted to create something that could be used by both sexes, instead of following the 'classic' male/female patterns of use. I also wanted to create something that was beautiful, but 'un-sexy' enough that you could have them displayed in your living room if you wanted to. The 'stones' are charged via induction while in the box/plate, but when you pick them up they come alive in your hand. Each stone vibrates in its own pattern. Status: prototypes done, technology matured, looking for production/investor.
